On Saturday evening, the 16th Kecskemét Animation Film Festival's award ceremony was held in the Hírös Agora in Kecskemét. 111 films were in competition and prizes were awarded in 20 categories. On Sunday, the public can watch the winning films again.
The second day of the 16th Kecskemét Animation Film Festival was all about book launches.
The third day of the 16th KAFF was highlighted by the Digital and Animation Aware Culture and LibraryCinema programme.
At the opening ceremony on Wednesday evening, Csaba Káel, Government Responsible for the development of the Hungarian national film industry, said that the festival is special because European feature-length and television animation films made in the last two years are competing alongside Hungarian animation, and that all Hungarians, wherever they live in the world, can enter the competition.
The KAFFFER art fair will be held for the first time at the Kecskemét Animation Film Festival in 2023, where visitors will have the opportunity to admire and buy prints (printed works), stickers, ceramics and other products designed and published by animation artists.
