László István Tóth
László István Tóth, an animation professional was born in 1970 in Szekszárd, Hungary. After graduating from high school, he was employed by the Kecskemét Animation Film Studio, where he started to get acquainted with the profession through the production of the iconic Hungarian Folk Tales series. He has expanded his three decades of experience by working in several studios in Western Europe and Asia. He has worked as an clean-up artist, animator, and supervisor on many internationally acclaimed and award-winning films. For the last ten years, he has been a senior associate at Kecskemétfilm, where he mostly works as a project manager and associate producer. Some well-known works made with his contribution include the feature films The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily, The Red Turtle, Pinocchio, The Secret of Kells, The Little Polar Bear, Laura’s Star, A Monkey’s Tale; the short films Bond, Istok, The Bards of Wales and the television series Toldi. Moreover, he is the technical director of the Confessions of Hungarian Saints series and an organiser of KAFF for many years. As an amateur photographer, he has had exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Budapest, at KAFF in 2021, MOMkult, and FilmesHáz (“Film House”).
